Congratulations to Steve Milne on achieving 100 league appearances for Kirkcaldy Rugby Club! Steve led the players out on Saturday to face Preston Lodge and marked his century with a try to help secure the bonus point win.
The Flanker made his debut away to Musselburgh in August 2013 and is currently playing in his 9th season for the 1stXV, having also scored 16 tries in that time. He is the 42nd Blues player in the 100 club, receiving his tie from president George Shields post-match.
Ahead of the match, Steve shared his thoughts on this accomplishment and what is it like to reach 100 games...
“It’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Since winning player of the year in 2022 I knew that 100 games would be my next milestone to achieve. Now that I'm here the only thing I want to say is thank you to Kirkcaldy Rugby Club for all they have done for me and for the faith they put in me to show what I could do for this great club.
Special mentions go to: Guy Brewer, Jim Smith, Willie Anderson, Colin Parsons, and especially my Dad. Without these guys I would never have become the rugby player I am today, and to my father that always pushed me and knew what I could accomplish and achieve.
And to all past and present teammates, thank you!”
