The Innes Johnston/Smart Electrics Wee Blues brought their playing season to a finish (Before the family fun Sunday/awards next week).

In the shadows of the national stadium the wee blues dazzled at the Murrayfield Wanderers tournament. 2 teams at P2/3, P4, P5 and 2 P6/7 teams saw nearly 60 players travel over the forth – with a huge travelling fan club.

The 2/3s once again played really good rugby. 2 teams and enough to help out some opposition too 👍. Running well with the ball, scoring great tries and great improvements in tackling. Well done boys and girls. Thanks Robbie G and Mark B for assisting Matthew.

The 4s squad continued their fantastic play. A great spirit in the squad they showed us text book tackling, all the boys keen to get on the ball, using supporting players and running in a barrel load of tries. A great team to watch and well deserved winners of the 4s festival 🏆.

The 5s missed a few players today but continued their improvement. Muz and Rory from our youth teams, coaching the squad today. Some fantastic running, tries, support play and good effort in defence. Well done boys and girls – special mention to Sophie R who was a try machine today 👍.

The 6/7s played 2 mixed teams today. Both teams undefeated (well until they played against each other). Some bone crunching tackling, dancing feet, big clear outs, some super handling – off loads in the tackle and moving the ball along the backs. An intensity the other teams struggled to match and winners of the P6/7 festival 🏆.

A great way to finish the season and huge well done to all our players, coaches, managers and supporters.

See you all next week 😀
