The ‘Cairn Independent’ S1/2s headed for an early kick off in Alloa. Just what all our teenagers love!

After cold weather caused the Currie game to be called off, there was no such danger this week.

Some great training sessions had taken place with 20+ boys at each one, the squad travelled ready and confident.
A squad of 24 arrived in Alloa with Archie C making his debut.

Alloa fielded an inexperienced side, who have been seeking games this season.
A large travelling support took to touchline to cheer on the blues.
Kirkcaldy started off the game at pace, which the hosts struggled to live with. Scores followed quickly for Daniel (2), Murray, Logan, Jack and Ethan who also converted 5. This saw Kirkcaldy well ahead after the 1st 20.
Euan S again leading from the front, with another excellent game. The 2nd 20 saw Kirkcaldy utilise all 9 subs, with Bailey and Lucas scoring tries. Converted by Ethan.

Kirkcaldy dominance continued into the final third of the game, with the away team looking to utilise their strong runners and pace out wide. Alloa struggled to hang onto them, although never gave up and scored a try of their own. Scorers in the final 3rd for Macauley, Luke, Archie (2), Murray (2), Aiden – 5 converted by Murray.
FT 97-5
MoM – Euan Stewart
MoM (Alloa) – Kyle

Good to see tries being shared amongst the team. A run of tougher games to come but fantastic to see 24 boys on game day. No doubt the great numbers at training are reaping rewards.

Well done all boys, coaches, managers and supporters.
