Well done to all of the players who travelled for the away game today. Murrays just posted on the chat page and seems to be ok, he is heading of for a scan. Looks like a nerve in his arm but nothing serious. Let’s hope for a speedy recovery as we were all concerned for you.
New line up today with some boys starting for the the first time. So compromises had to be made elsewhere to accommodate every player.
Home teams full back ran in from distance to score the first try of the game, he looked like a strong powerful runner with more hair on his face than me. A few minutes later, Stuart chased back from a kick had a few nice sidesteps and offload to Daniel who ran from 70 m to score under the posts. It was at this stage that Murray got injured and we had to stop the game and move pitches so he could get the attention needed.
The game changed hands during this period with Kirkcaldy taking the lead then Dalkieth winning it back. Again Daniel scoring our tries with super pace and good vision attacking the space in behind. Their hairy fullback came off the pitch at this stage and we took the lead by 10 points.
With a tight game Dalkeith brought on the strongest players and again they took the lead after two quick tries. Jack made a break away and went over the line to score however the referee disallowed it due to fight taking place on the other side of the pitch. Logan was absolutely awesome in defence, try stopping tackles and super at the breakdown. His work rate was brilliant. We scored on the last play of the game making the final score 41-36 for Dalkeith.
