Madras U18 29 V Kirkcaldy U18 15 In a hastily organised friendly to allow both teams some needed match practice Madras came out on top mainly due to their backs being superior.Kirkcaldy started the opening few minutes as if they had no rustiness at all but then found themselves 10-0 down.To their credit they didn't allow this to unsettle them and by half time had brought themselves back on level terms thanks to two tries from Connor Wood and Marcus Salt-not surprisingly neither of these scores were long range efforts! In the second half the superiority of the Madras back line showed up with three more scores.Connor Wood ,who seemed to be involved in all of the forward drives, scored his second try and would deserve to be man of the match for his constant unselfish work.Next week Stirling County await for an even tougher test for the Kirkcaldy Colts.
