At first glance a scoreline like this could indicate a bad day at the office but that would not reflect the collective team effort and never say die attitude of the Kirkcaldy Colts team.
Played on a sunny but chilly day at HawickYM's pitch, within spitting distance of the famous Mansfield Park, the home team took an early lead but only managed six tries despite significantly more possession. This was mainly due to some fine tackling and close touchline calls.
Special mention must go to Connor Wood who despite a dislocated AC joint at Tuesday's training still managed to run touch with his arm in a sling!
The Hawick coaches and parents were obviously pleased with the result but praised the opposition for never giving up. The Colts now progress to the Bowl competition to play Ellon away-another short trip!
